We are Marc and Lisa Strenke, born and raised in a small northwestern town in Wisconsin.
Our call for missions came to us in 2004 in the middle of chaos; home building and baby raising!
With no previous experience in international missions, but with willing hearts, we said YES.
Little did we know the wheels that God would set in motion by that simple and faithful yes.
We learned patience and perseverance in the years to follow. And the importance of walking to Gods timing. His timing is perfect and to this day it amazes me to look back on the doors that were opened and to those that were closed. To the people that walked into our life in those years not knowing the importance they were to us and to what God had in store.
By 2009, Marc made his first trip into a Haitian orphanage and fell in love! He arrived home knowing that our future was waiting somewhere in that little tropical island.
2010 brought in joy and sadness, faith and fear. A 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti that changed so much of the country, physically and economically. We felt the call even deeper at this point, and with a renewed sense of calling, we walked into the country and started what we call, “Love For Lozandier.”
